By Matthew Lee Anderson

This is the surprise of the year for me. Mere-Orthodoxy has earned the distinction of being nominated for the "Best Religious Blog" category of the 2005 Weblog Awards. For first-time visitors, I've highlighted a number of Mere-O posts below. Congratulations are also due to Mere-O friends Charlie from AnotherThink, Blogging Business guru Stacy Harp, and blogging-hero Joe Carter of EvangelicalOutpost. I'd love to say that we deserve to win, but my vote will be cast for Joe Carter.
