“Not only is the Christian God indescribable and magnificent, the description of God is interesting as well” (emphasis mine).

That (rather unwittingly, I am afraid to say) sums up the whole problem of Christian theology.

  1. My favorite blooper in one of my student’s papers was:

    “In the biblical story of Moses, God demands Pharaoh, who is exceedingly abstinent, to free the Israelites from slavery.”

    It took me at least 30 seconds to think of “obstinate.”
