Yes, believe it or not, Billy Graham and Woody Allen were on the same TV show together talking candidly about sex and a multitude of other funny things. It’s priceless. See the video here.

I’m actually pretty impressed with Billy Graham’s sense of humor. His solidness compared to Allen’s light moral character contrast remarkably.

Thanks for posting this! I enjoyed the videos very much. I ended up sending the link to a lot of people.

Woody Allen is a good example of how people who demand evidence miss out on the life of faith -in this case the issue is having sex before marriage. Although I don’t think I agree with Billy Graham’s view that rules are needed for everything because they are only an incomplete substitute for love.

Billy is definitely “the best at what he does”. He didn’t seem to hold a spirit of superiority over Woody, but there was that one question he fielded saying Woody would make a great pastor because the best pastors were at one time the worst sinners. I wondered if Woody was offended at being called one of the ‘worst sinners’. He didn’t seem to be too put out though.

On the other hand Graham did seem to suggest the person Woody Allen looked at in the mirror everyday was the clearest proof of the perfection of God.

I thought it was bold of him to say he wanted to see one of Woody Allen’s films … especially with the stodgy Bob Jones people he associated with at one time in his life.

I was surprised to find Woody Allen conceding heaven is the best there is -and then claiming it’s a question of whether there is a heaven or not. I wanted
Billy Graham to ask, “Do you want to believe there’s a heaven, Woody?”.

    Thanks for posting this, Andrew.
