This week, the usual crew tackles a UK dust-up over the Lord’s Prayer being read by various people in a commercial that was set to air before Star Wars: The Force Awakens this fall. The advert was pulled, and Andrew wrote about it.

  1. By far my favorite discussion. I am less concerned about the Church’s use of media and advertising as I am about Church’s political engagement. It seems that through the New Testament, the Church was both counter-political and peaceful/submissive. The Church’s birth and explosive growth took place within a hostile political environment. It didn’t achieve its growth via political maneuvering or demanding their religious rights. I worry the Church today fights more for its political rights than it does the “good fight.”
