Rhetoric v. Substance - Mere Orthodoxy | Christianity, Politics, and Culture

Robert Parham from EthicsDaily.com has a proposal for healthcare reform: Get it Passed! Filled with rhetorically charged missives which casts healthcare opponents as bourgeoisie and “individualistic,” Parham, who myopically makes no mention of abortion mandates, reduces the argument between the have’s and the have-not’s. Parham’s article is an exercise in political simplicity (and I do not mean that as a compliment) and ignores the vast complexities involved in this debate. Rhetoric.

David T. Koyzis, political philosopher extraordinaire, while not specifically addressing the healthcare issue, proposes that Neo-Calvinism and its prospects offers a much more satisfying option than oscillating between black and white categories of individualism and collectivism. Substance.
