Fewer people know of Oliver O'Donovan's profound impact on the field of theology and North American evangelicalism. His book Resurrection and Moral Order is (unquestionably) one of the most important works in Christian ethics in the past fifty years. Begotten or Made? might be the best 86 pages on bioethics by a Christian theologian. Desire of the Nations is essential reading for anyone seriously interested in political theology. There are few minds yet living that are as learned or as wise as his.
