If there is an issue that the evangelical left and right speak with a single voice on, sex trafficking is it.
The trade has received an increasing amount of attention the past two years. While it started before Amazing Grace, the film brought an enormous amount of attention to the movement. Since then, as the International Justice Mission’s influence has grown, stopping sex trafficking has become a rallying cry for evangelicals of all ages and types.
And that excites me.
And now the filmmakers are addressing it directly. A friend sends me this teaser–it’s not even a trailer, as the film isn’t even in production yet–of an Atlanta-based film company making a short film on the topic.
The script of the teaser isn’t great, but the production value is quite good. These are serious filmmakers, and it’s a topic that deserves the sort of quality it seems like they’ll bring to it.
Bookmark the studio, and follow them on Twitter. They seem like a group we should get behind here at Mere-O.
