The National Right to Life Committee endorsement of Fred Thompson prompted a collective head scratching, as Thompson doesn't support a constitutional ban on abortion and is hardly the most likely candidate to win the nomination.

Apparently, some of the State committees see things differently than the national committee. [The Georgia Right to Life Committee announced this morning that they are endorsing Mike Huckabee for President.](http://www.jillstanek.com/archives/2007/12/breaking%5Fnews%5Fg.html?ref=mereorthodoxy.com) My hunch is that more states will follow as Thompson's star continues to dim and Huckabee solidifies himself as the leading social conservative candidate.
