In recent days, Steve Jobs and Apple have kowtowed to the Left and removed The Manhattan Declaration application from their app store after homosexual activists labeled the app “gay-hating” and “homo-hostile.”

If you’ve not read the document ([which you should](http://www.manhattandeclaration.org/the-declaration/read.aspx?ref=mereorthodoxy.com)), you’ll discover that the document is a far cry from any semblance of gay-hating. The document is extremely kind towards those it disagrees with and absent from its tone is any certain hostility and malevolence.

The Daily Caller has a [helpful article](http://dailycaller.com/2010/12/02/christian-group-has-plea-ignored-by-apple-begins-petition-to-reinstate-app/?ref=mereorthodoxy.com) on the issue.

I’m not convinced that online petitions are helpful or useful, but, given the circumstances, I would ask that all of our readers take a few seconds and sign the petition. You can do so by going [here](http://www.manhattandeclaration.org/media/petition.aspx?ref=mereorthodoxy.com). As of this writing, there have already been over 5,700 signatures added. The group which opposed the Manhattan Declaration had only 8,000.
